It is a pattern that looks splendid in a bizarre assortment of colours, being perfect for using up those odd, short lengths from your stash. Change colours after every two rows and you will be delighted with the striking effects. Try it on teacosies and full skirts. The peppery hues of Africa display magnificently on a cushion. Right sides together, sew around, leaving an opening. Turn to right side. Plump out with wool stuffing. Close seam. Insert cushion between knitted piece and wool backing. Hand sew around with matching thread. Celery coloured glass seed beads can be sewn down each celery blackberry row. A summer toned colourway for the pincushion is rosepink, bluebell and milk. Knit it in a light weight wool or cotton or silk. Use rose silk or cotton floral print as a backing fabric.
